Binding Matters

Notebook Spine Parade

Binding defines durability and the way a book lies flat. Our coil, stitched, and hardbound lines are tuned for quick page flips and resilient everyday use.

Tools & Tints

Pastel highlighters, gel pens, and sticky tabs turn notes into neat, color-coded maps. Soft hues reduce eye strain and keep long reading sessions kind.

Desk Ergonomics

When your tools sit where your hands expect them, study sessions run smoother. PaperMint layouts follow a left-to-right flow: quick grabs for pens, tabs, highlighters; notebooks anchor the center. Less searching, more doing.

  • Compact tray logic for small desks and hostel tables
  • Low-glare finishes reduce visual fatigue at night
  • Mint accents guide the eye without stealing focus

Know Your Paper

Paper Weights 101

GSM (grams per square metre) affects how ink behaves, how pages flip, and how long your notes last. Use this guide to choose the right stock.

Different paper stacks illustrating thickness
Visual thickness cues across common GSM ranges.
Use GSM Behavior
Daily Notes (smooth flip) 80–90 Lightweight, fast drying, ideal for gel/ballpoint.
Planner / Bullet Journal 100–120 Less show-through, better for stamping and tabs.
Sketch & Fountain Pen 160 Handles wet inks; gentle tooth for line control.
Covers / Craft 200–220 Rigid feel, perfect for dividers and durable covers.

Ink Behavior

Write Test Lab

We test inks on multiple stocks to balance smoothness with control. Watch the stroke lanes pulse — that’s capillary flow modeled in motion.

Blue ballpoint strokes on ivory paper
Ballpoint • clean lines, minimal smudge.
Fountain pen ink sample swirls
Fountain pen • rich shading on 120–160 gsm.

Each lane represents a different nib/ink combo; density rises mid-lane then settles.

Study → Plan → Execute

Task Flow Map

A gentle pipeline for school and campus life: collect, plan, color-code, draft, review, and archive. This repeatable loop keeps your workload visible and your energy focused.

  1. Collect

Jot raw notes, dump ideas, clip references. No formatting yet — just capture.

  2. Plan

Group items, add deadlines, pick a daily “must-do”.

  3. Mark

Color-code with pastel highlighters and sticky tabs for quick scanning.

  4. Draft

Sketch, outline, and write in blocks. Keep each block on one spread.

  5. Review

Check for gaps, add page links, and mark blockers.

  6. Archive

Move done pages to a monthly section; tag reusable templates.

Long-life Stationery

Quality & Sustainability Charter

PaperMint is built for Indian classrooms and studios that use stationery hard and daily. Our charter outlines the promises we keep across sourcing, making, and after-use.

1) Paper you can trust

We spec consistent grain and weight so pages turn the same way across batches. Grids and dots are printed in low-contrast inks to disappear under handwriting, yet remain visible for drafting. Each ream passes visual and tactile checks for show-through, feathering, and drying time with gel, ballpoint, and fountain pen inks.

2) Inks and finishes

Our pastel highlighters are tuned to reduce eye strain in late study hours, and our black gel refills are formulated for dense strokes without pooling. Covers use low-glare coatings so titles stay legible under tube light and daylight equally.

3) Durability in the real world

  • Coil and stitch bindings are tested for repeated flat-lay openings.
  • Tear-away edges are micro-perforated for clean removal without ragging.
  • Corner rounding keeps notebooks tidy in packed backpacks.

4) Responsible sourcing

Paper is FSC-aligned from mills that track pulp origin and water cycles. Packaging avoids plastic where possible; when used, it is recyclable and clearly marked. Our local partners reduce freight distances so your tools arrive with a smaller footprint.

5) After-use and reuse

  1. Dividers and tabs are sized for multi-year reuse across notebooks.
  2. Indexing system encourages archiving by month to extend document life.
  3. Refill models (pens and markers) cut waste and cost over semesters.
How does PaperMint handle returns on paper defects?

If you experience unusual feathering, ink pooling, or misprinted grids, contact us with the batch code; verified issues are replaced from the nearest hub.

Are fountain-pen users supported?

Yes. Our 120–160 gsm lines are tested with fine and medium nibs; capillary lanes in our Write Test Lab simulate real saturation over time.
